Peak Performance has built up a dedicated and experienced staff team skilled in delivering high quality training to a wide range of clients.

Over the years their style, approach to safety and beliefs have proved to be a great asset to each and every course.

A new idea for developing teams which gives a real opportunity for an organisation to have a positive and tangible impact in the local environment.

Peak Performance has been working with organisations to develop team and leadership capability for the past 20 years. Through our work with organisations we appreciate how crucial it is for them to have a positive and sustainable contribution to the environment. With this in mind, an Event has been developed which enables significant learning and team development whilst making a significant contribution to the local community.

We believe that the following outcomes can be achieved through such an Event:

  • To help support an organisation's corporate social responsibility agenda
  • Building positive relationships with local communities
  • To make a positive impact on the environment
  • Offsetting team's and organisation's carbon footprints
  • Contributing to local charities and amenities
  • Team and personal development
  • Developing project management capability
  • Providing a valuable public relations exercise

A Typical Event

An Event can be tailored to budget, objective, team size and requirements. Several possibilities and opportunities exist for organisations to become involved in improving their own and local environments whilst developing their personnel at the same time. For example, a companyís grounds may benefit from a makeover or tree planting to offset carbon emissions, or the local community centre may need redecorating!

Below we have outlined a recent and typical Event to give an appreciation of how the idea works. In developing this Event, Peak Performance acknowledges the contribution made by John Langford of Unicus.

We worked with an organisation that wanted to build relationships within a team, but were also keen to promote themselves in a positive way in the local community.

Peak Performance did some preliminary investigation in the local community and soon established that the village primary school wanted to create an eco/nature garden, to improve both pupil and wider community awareness of the environment.

The Event took place over two days at a residential venue. On arrival, the team were briefed and were immediately set a number of outdoor activity challenges, the rewards for success being funds for the purchase of materials for the garden. In completing the challenges, team members were asked to stretch themselves personally, whilst maintaining the dynamics of the overall team structure.

The team were totally responsible for managing the project, from buying materials, allocating labour and liasing with the school on design and safety issues. The garden was delivered on time and on budget to the delight of all concerned!
