All our courses are designed in conjunction with each client.
Peak Performance has built up a dedicated and experienced staff team skilled in delivering high quality training to a wide
This ensures that they meet the training needs more effectively.
The object is NOT to test the physical strength or endurance of participants. We use the outdoors to create challenging problem solving exercises which will develop all those taking part in an enjoyable way.
Each course will have strong parallels with what happens at the work place and while the ‘Outdoors’ plays a vital role it is by no means the only part. Indoor sessions will encourage the participants to focus their learning through reviewing experiences and process. Everyone will be encouraged to learn from the things that they do well and not so well in a constructive and positive atmosphere.
The objectives may include all or some of the following and help participants to:-
- Improve self-awareness and personal development through a recognition of their strengths
- Develop confidence to cope with new situations
- Learn to appreciate the benefit of working as a team
- Analyse their own leadership skills and the impact these may have on others
- Develop an understanding of the various roles that make up an effective group or team
- Decide action plans to pursue back at work

- We manage your learning, we act as referees, but the learning is something you do to yourself
The Review Sessions
Much of the benefit from the course will come from the review sessions. The tutors, who will have observed during the exercises, will now play a part in managing the reviews and ensuring that they are constructive and fair. They will introduce ideas and focus on issues, which may have particular reference to your own Company.
The type of questions that may be asked in a review are as follows:-
- How did you plan?
- How do you think the exercise was managed?
- What emphasis was given to the task, the team and the individual needs?
- What significant contributions did people make?
- How did it feel to work in this team?
- What went well, not so well and what would you do differently?
- In these review sessions people can learn a lot about themselves and their style by participants giving one another constructive “feedback”. We hope for this reason that people will agree to have a degree of confidentiality. This then allows the learning to take place in an atmosphere of openness, trust and honesty where participants can experiment and take risks.
